Nekaya & Andrew

Our story started when we met at North Carolina A&T State University. As two aspiring engineers, it was destined that our paths would eventually cross. What no one could’ve predicted, ironically, was the chemistry we would share in a math class. Nekaya’s natural affinity for advanced arithmetic would be what initially piqued Andrew’s attention, as they first started as a platonic pair on the giving and receiving end of long tutoring sessions. What started as a study buddy relationship would blossom into something more as Andrew had his eye on Nekaya from the first week of class. After growing their relationship and being close to one another for one year, Andrew moved to California to start his career leaving the relationship to be tested in strength over long distance. After graduating from college one year later, Nekaya would start her career and then move to California with Andrew. We lived in California for 2 years and eventually would move over to Florida. After settling in Florida, Andrew would surprise Nekaya with a proposal in his hometown of Philadelphia, PA, under the guise of celebrating a birthday with both of our families on a boat-resturant.
